20 Januari 2008 | Vietnam, Hoi An
The next day we visited My Son with an organised tour. This is an ancient city of the Cham People. Most of it was in ruins (Vietnam war) but it resembled very much the Indian temples and e.g. Prambanan (Indonesia) and Angkor Wat (Cambodia). We were not deeply impressed with it, I guess we are sometimes too spoiled.
For a relaxing fun, sun day (yes it is very sunny in Hoi An area) we hired two scooters for a tour to the Marble Mountains and the sea. In this area, you guessed right, they sell anything made from marble. Two girls lead us to their shop but they asked ridiculous prices and they were very said we didn't buy anything. The mountain itself was beatifull, with many caves and temples in every corner and cave.
We wanted to make a stop at a beach resort for a lunch this was really super luxury, However we could not afford to even buy a beer as this was $4,- each. We only carry around small money as ussually a beer is between 0,25 and 1 dollar. About 50 m further there was a poblic beach which was better for us.
